Turmeric Tea "Curcuma Longa"
Our exquisite, dried Turmeric Root offers a naturally aromatic herbal tea experience. The turmeric we use boasts a minimum curcumin content of 2% and carries the botanical name 'Curcuma Longa' – belonging to the ginger family, Zingiberaceae. This plant is indigenous to Southeast Asia and is predominantly cultivated in India.
Turmeric can be found in both fresh and dried varieties, but the 'spice' form is derived from the plant's dried roots. The underground stem, known as the rhizome, is widely utilized in cooking spices, herbal beauty products, and traditional medicine.
Our Tea is crafted from the entire, fresh turmeric rhizome. After being sliced and dried, it is ground into granules that exhibit a rich dark orange or yellow hue.
What can dried Turmeric Root be Used for?
Our Suggested method for tea:
- Put 2-3g of Turmeric tea into 230ml of boiling water.
- Leave to steep for 5-8 minutes.
- Once brewed, strain and enjoy.
