About the Product
Peruvian goldenberries, known locally as aguaymanto (Physalis peruviana), are native to the Andes of Peru and thrive in the cool mountain climate between 1,800 and 3,500 metres above sea level. They have been cultivated since pre Incan times and were even grown in the Sacred Valley by the Incas.

Our Goldenberries are grown wild amongst native trees and fruits in the Peruvian Andes. They are 100% natural, with no pesticides, no GMOs and nothing artificial.

Our Goldenberries and Cacao are sustainably grown at origin, then carefully packed and shipped in the UK using eco-friendly, fully recyclable packaging.

Peruvian Goldenberries in Cacao
Our Peruvian Goldenberries (Aguaymanto) are grown high in the Andes, where cool mountain air, rich soils, and abundant sunshine create their naturally vibrant sweet and tangy flavour. Native to Peru and enjoyed since the time of the Incas, the berries are carefully sun dried in the Andean mountains to preserve their character without the need for artificial additives. Each goldenberry is then coated in pure cacao, creating a deliciously unique snack that perfectly balances bright, fruity notes with rich, bittersweet chocolate for a truly authentic taste of Peru.
How does it taste?
The first bite delivers a delicate snap from the cacao before giving way to the soft, naturally chewy goldenberry within. Bright citrus notes and gentle tropical acidity cut effortlessly through the richness of the cacao, creating a beautifully balanced contrast of sweet, tangy and bittersweet flavours.
